Independence Day 2022

Under ‘Azadi kaa Amrit Mahotsav’ ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign, Azadi was been widely celebrated in every corner of the country. Keeping the spirit lit, Boston World School and RIMS Junior College too celebrated Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Different artworks of tri-color, pictures of the superheroes, buntings, etc. adorned the walls of the premises.

The sense of happiness and pride could be clearly seen on everyone’s faces. The celebration started with a grand parade led by the Head Boy, and Head Girl, followed by the student council and house members.

The true feeling of patriotism in everyone’s heart and mind could be felt when the CEO Dr. Farah Rais and the Principal, Ms. Seema Sharma unfurled the flag followed by the national anthem. To gear up the energy a solemn speech was given by Dr. Farah Rais to pay homage to the brave martyrs of the country. She appreciated the consistent endeavors of our armed forces in protecting our country bravely. In her motivational and patriotic speech, the Principal, Ms. Seema Sharma reflected on the importance of 75 years of free India. She urged students to realize, understand and cherish our coveted freedom and work towards a progressive nation. A Hindi song performance by students of different nationalities filled the premises with a magnetic and captivating patriotic environment. Ms. Shefali, a French Language faculty, took everyone in a flashback through her speech ‘Journey of India from 1947 to 2022’. The younger students showed their patriotism through their ideas of futuristic India with their speeches in English and Hindi.

“Mere mulk ki hifazat hi mera farz hai, aur mera mulk hi meri hifazhat hai”, Mehereen Zaki, Grade 12th student awakened every mind with her views.

Spectacular dance performances by the students accentuated the uniqueness embedded in the spirit of our country.

The program concluded with a magnificent rendering of our national song ‘Vande Mataram’ by the staff members and students.

Today take some time to value our Nation and never forget the sacrifices.
